The answer is still “Blowing in the Wind”~ Mary
Travers
Folksinger David HB Drake was there…
He played for Gaylord
Nelson at the very first Earth Day in 1970, marched the streets
of Madison in 1969 (and again in 2011) He’s a Vietnam era vet
with a long memory - he remembers the 60’s and now he’s in his
6os.
“Blowing in the Wind” is a return to those mighty times. David's solo program* is presented with over 150 Powerpoint images of the 1960s folk era with special sing-along slides to encourage audience participation.
The best music of David’s mentors - Peter, Paul and Mary, Pete
Seeger, Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, the
Kingston Trio, John Denver and more echo down the years sung
by someone who was there, keeps alive the Dream, and never
stopped singing the songs.
*"Blowing in the Wind" is also available as a full stage duo concert with Julie Thompson. Go to www.dangerousfolk.com for information and videos of the trio in action.
